I like how Anne prefaces the bit about the self portraits as trees.

Reading your reflections and what you notice from your point of view as an ecologist- but even about non-ecology stuff; built environments, rooms- it feels almost like learning a language :-).

So that when one goes out, one can copy how you pay attention and observe. It becomes a richer experience.

Loved this meditative stroll through a decommissioned convent and abbey.. now a publishing house and repository of BD. Would love to visit this one day. Your descriptions are so well written and evocative!
