Okay this is a bit more hardcore than the type of urbex I've done. Loved your descriptions, which made me quite anxious.

Haha definitely the most hardcore I’ve done as well

This reminded me of the many decrepit, defunct, abandoned, and decayed places I've ferretted out in my day. No Trespassing signs are often the first indication, and best recommendation. But I've always been the most circumspect of trespassers---more of a guardian than an interloper. 😉

I love that self appointed role for you :)

I love your honest appraisals of what you did and didn't "see" and experience amidst those histories, dilapidated, eerily tagged and chicken-wired...

Thanks Kenneth!

I can never twist a sign saying ‘Privée’ especially if there is an old building to be investigated beyond..!

I loved your retelling of this adventure Anne, perhaps you will return to find what you missed and regale us with that too..? 🙏🏽

Thanks Susie, glad you enjoyed it! We'll see, not sure I want to try my luck too much! ;)

Thanks for taking us on this adventure!

Sounds like it was a lot of fun. I love old buildings too - they all have a story to tell.

Excellent! Well worth the wait to read. I really enjoyed this, the adventure itself, the place, the photographs and, especially, how you crafted the whole. Moving into seemingly abandoned spaces always feels rather strange, passing between worlds of a sort.

I'm a big fan of urbex (and, indeed, rurex, if that is a thing?!), but I too find it easier to be braver when with others. When I was younger, in Orkney, we would often head into the ruins of second world way installations, nearly all of which are now safely sealed away. Similarly with caves, we'd explore them when we could, although usually the 'we' was a younger sister, such as Lydia, simply because they were small enough to crawl into such spaces...

I really appreciated the Choose Your Own Adventure introduction too, big fan of those (and the semi-related Fighting Fantasy adventures).

A really fascinating place, and post, thank you for sharing!

Hooray, so glad you made it! Thanks for your rurex stories, haha. Were your sisters eager to crawl into these places?

Not usually, no! I'm sure it was character building, however! Haha.
