Sorry to hear you're under the weather but, at the same time, if that makes you share something like this, then perhaps it is not all bad?! Loved this format, works beautifully, telling a series of stories in a relatively small space. 11/10 would read again. (And get well soon!)
I particularly loved the dialect poem - I'll add 'nick' to the list of words that I have learnt as an adult are not in fact whole-country dictionary English...
Loved this. It was rather as if I’d gone on a short, quite bracing but still caring, walk to clear up some headspace: just the light length and just the right bird to name en route.
I feel quite synaptically claimed in a good way (and I’m not a man to be claimed).
I’ve always enjoyed your green places photos on Notes. And now I’m subscribing!

Thank you so much Alex! So glad you like it, it was fun for me too.
I’m not too bad off, just in a period of low energy.
I understand the low energy. I swear I’m solar-powered and, recently, it has felt very dark here.
Your post was super, each part wonderful and different and engaging.
The main upside is getting to see the sunset from my second floor office window…
Thanks again!
I like this different format - - and I hope you feel better soon!
thank you Betty!
Wonderful lexical fields, thank you for sharing. It's a good idea to note the names of things for future worldbuilding.
Thanks for reading! And yes that is a good reason to collect names…

It’s fun isn’t it! Highly recommend Landmarks for a lot more where that came from.

Thank you Nicolas! It’s so good to hear that, made my day 😁
How good to make someone’s day! That’s quite made mine!
I really like reading short posts and this format works great for me. It’s super entertaining, Anne. Hope you feel better soon.
Good to hear that, thank you Yasmin!
