I think it always astounds us Americans just how quickly and easily you all can get from one Legendary Cultural Capital to another Legendary Cultural Capital across Europe. Is it that Europe is actually more densely packed with art and wonder and history? Or are we all just better at appreciating the relative unknown, without proper perspective on what we have here at home? Either way, thanks for capturing the fruits of your travel again!
Good question! I think in terms of western culture it’s undeniable that there has been orders of magnitude more time for cultural capitals to accumulate in Europe, and it definitely is more densely populated. But it all depends on what you’re looking for I suppose!
I enjoyed the bike ride! Everything you've probably heard is true, the cyclists run the roads. If you're comfortable on a bike and navigating traffic (mostly of other bikes in bike lanes but cars too at intersections) it's great, can be a bit hectic otherwise!
Lovely that you visited Cambridge, your trip sounds wonderful. I’m looking at doing the Eurostar to Paris and going further, using both those stations, and wondered if you have a hotel recommendation.
You should come to Oxford it’s much better than London ;)
Haha all right but I won’t concede it’s better than Cambridge! 😜
I’ve not been to Cambridge but I know in my heart Oxford is better as I’m sworn to defend Oxford but only the university
You gotta do what you gotta do 😆

I love these shots of Amsterdam! How was the bike ride? I’ve heard so much about their bikeways!

Yes, I’d love to experience a bike-centric city! Sounds like a great trip!
Your photos are gorgeous! I can smell the greenery. Thank you for the beautiful art tour of both museums and nature.
Thank you, and my pleasure!

Fun! I was lucky enough to stay with friends so I don’t have a hotel recommendation to offer…you could try Booking.com though
