I love how you repost all these Anne, I don’t always catch them in notes and I always enjoy both your images and words to go with!

YES—thank you for articulating the specific beauty of these “fantastical souls” (LOVE this!) who journey with us. In my deepest season of grief, I lived within the four-block radius of downtown Chillicothe—town of my birth. Settled within Appalachia’s foothills, trees are never hard to find here. And I do prefer the forest. But it was my neighbor-tree, who lived in the sidewalk outside my door, who led me out of the darkness and into the light that winter five years ago. Thank you for sharing. I do hope you explore this theme in the future. Looking forward.

So glad you agree, and how beautiful, thanks for sharing! It’s true that trees in more natural landscape have a different appeal but as long as I’m in a developed place having neighbor-trees, as you say, is a must.

Love the video of the murder of crows circling above the tree-tops.

Isn’t it spectacular? (To be precise it’s a clamor of rooks, which I think is just as fun to say 😄)
